Description

Finding a top that goes with everything from jeans, slacks or skirts can be difficult. But the Aida Top will cover all those styles. With two variations to choose from, flat front or slightly gather bodice and back, you can pair the Aida with just about anything. Wear it loose, tucked or even belted. Easy enough for a beginning sewist it is completed with buttons and buttonholes on the smooth fitting neck band, or omit the buttonholes and it is still easily slipped over your head. The slightly lower back hem means you can move with grace and confidence..

    Aida blouse

Posted by Julie on 3rd May 2021

Yes I liked this pattern. Traced it out 3 times which was a bit of a pain, but I wanted one for me and each of my daughters and we are all different sizes. Read the pattern and bought too much fabric; half a meter less works. Also I do really like notches and there are none. Would have been useful around the flat collar area.

    Sew Liberated Aida Blouse pattern

Posted by Kim on 2nd Jun 2019

I wanted a blouse pattern for lightweight summer fabrics, this pattern is idea. I found the instructions simple to follow, and it's easy to make up. The blouse is roomy and can be slipped over the head without having to use the buttons. I downsized considerably as I wanted a slightly more fitted look, and shaped the straight sides. The fabric was Tropical Dream Stretch Viscose Lawn, from Fabric Godmother, which was perfect and sewed up beautifully.

    Fantastic pattern from great designer

I'm an advanced beginner sewer, and of all the patterns I've tried these are the best. Sizing is super, fit is very flattering, and the instructions are very clear. The online video is a great help to visualise the process.
