    Quality Cloth

Posted by Odette on 25th May 2025

This is a substantial, crisp and finely woven poplin and it happens to be a perfect colour match for my project; I am delighted to find it at this price.
The grain is true, which is frustratingly rare these days. The colour is a fraction paler and a little more green than the photographs. I gave it a hot pre-wash and tumble dry. It did not shrink and it lost only a little of its crispness, and it stayed on true square grain. This is a quality cloth. It is not, however, easy-care - nor should you expect crisp 100% cotton fabric to be. It emerged from the wash with a myriad of small creases, which are not easy to steam out. My guess is that softness will improve with multiple washes.

    Fabulous fabric and service

As described, the poplin is really excellent quality - will work perfectly for the shirt pattern for which I bought it. Plus - it arrived the day after I placed my order and with very low postage.
