Astrid Sunray Pleated Skirt Kit - Navy contains everything you need to make the stunning Astrid Sunray Pleated Skirt by Fabric Godmother
- The Astrid Waist Pattern Piece Printed onto A4 Paper - You will need to stick the pattern pieces together.
- 2 x half circle sunray pleated pieces in Astrid Satin - Navy - enough to make all sizes.
- Matching Gutermann Sew All Thread
- Glitter Elastic - enough for all sizes
About the Fabric:
Fabric Godmother sourced a uniquely printed fabric and also had it treated. We have a gorgeous Astrid Satin - Navy fabric with its lovely festive star design. You will receive two sunray pleated semi-circles to create your circle skirt.
We worked with Ciment Pleating and used their extensive knowledge and advice to select the right base cloth for this project. They recommended a man-made fabric, as it is best for holding pleats and maintaining its shape long term.
Pre-wash your fabric at 30 °C. The pleats will not wash out. Dry flat, reshape whilst damp.
We recommend you DO NOT IRON this fabric, as the pleats can be removed with heat. If you do press, use a COOL IRON ONLY and do not steam. You can fold and press the pleats back in if any are lost or distorted. Please make sure to NOT tumble dry.
About the Pattern:
As another exciting first, we have created this pattern and instructions exclusively for the Astrid Satin - Navy. It is designed to work perfectly with the sunray pleated panels, and the instructions have great info about working with pleated fabric. It is size-inclusive and helps you use your measurements to find the perfect fit.
