    After wearing this..

I wish I’d understitched the facings as I think it would have given a cleaner edge. It’s a relaxed, easy to wear style and the perfect weight for Autumn days or chilly summer evenings .

Bought as a printed PDF pattern, so traced off my size. Made as a toile in average weight calico and found sleeve too tight around my upper arms. Adjusted pattern before remaking a partial toile which was a much better fit. Have now made jacket in a heavier, twill type cotton and added a full lining. Uses 10mm seam allowance ( included in pattern) which is just sufficient for my heavier main fabric. I would suggest putting further marking Eg. A large dot on the pattern at the point where the facing vents meet the main body/ sleeve to ensure an accurate finish ( and save a little bit of undoing/resewing). Pockets are large and seem to be placed quite high on the front- I adjusted, made smaller and placed lower on front. Overall I’m satisfied with the pattern. I plan on making it in linen for next summer, May also try a needle cord version.
