MIMO BIB (English and French tutorial included)
FOUR REVERSIBLE BIBS
SIZE NEWBORN TO 6 YEARS
LEVEL: BEGINNER
The MIMO pattern is a reversible bib, available in four sizes.
With its timeless design, this pattern is an essential piece that you can make over and over again.
The tutorial below will show you how to make a seamless bib in two different styles. The small bib can be done as a standard bib or a scallop bib for babies and the medium and large are standard bibs suitable for toddlers.
All four bibs have the same neckline and fit most children from newborn to 6 years.
RECOMMENDED FABRICS
From light-weight to heavy-weight linen, lyocell, silk noile, soft cotton shirting, cotton cheesecloth, cotton voile, hemp, flannelette, corduroy, velvet, denim, any soft, natural woven fabrics with a good drape. Avoid fabrics that are too thick and too stiff if you are making the scallop version.
If your fabric is lightweight and thin, I recommend using interfacing or wadding. You can also add a layer of waterproof fabric inside to prevent the bib from being soiled on both sides.
This pattern is perfect for any embroidery design you may have in mind !
FABRIC USAGE
Less than half a meter is all you need for this pattern depending on your choice of inner lining. This project is great to use any remnant pieces of fabrics you may have in your stash.
Please note: Make sure your fabric is washed before cutting.
NOTIONS
- Fabric
- Matching thread

PDF SEWING PATTERN
Please note: This pattern contains three files. A PROJECTOR file, a COPY SHOP file and a PRINT AT HOME file. If using Adobe Acrobat, you can choose to display or print only the size you need by selecting the corresponding layer.
The Copy Shop file can be printed at any printing store onto a large piece of paper. It needs to be printed true to size at scale 100%. This specific file fit onto an A3 paper or US equivalent. Remember to measure the check square at the store before you go home to make sure your pattern has been printed correctly.
The Print At Home file can be printed at home with any standard printer at scale 100%. It contains 3 pages that you need to assemble by cutting the margins and taping the pages together. This file suits both A4 and US Letter printers.
The PROJECTOR file can be opened using Adobe Acrobat. You can deselect the sizes you do not need and display only your desired size. Ensure your projector is calibrated and measure the check square to ensure the pattern is at the correct scale. If using dark-coloured fabric, change the colour setting of the projector file so the pattern and text are easier to see.
