One of my favourite vest/gilet patterns

Posted by Celeste on 21st Jan 2025

This is a pattern that deserves more attention - it's extremely versatile, it's cut to layer well over other garments, it has a variety of options, and it has huge pockets in the long version! I've made 3 so far - one long with big pockets and hood, one short with stand-up collar and the zipped welt pocket (I also added hand-warmer pockets from the free Ilford Jacket pockets pack), and one short with hood and hand-warmer pockets from the Sew Liberated Sylvan jacket. It's also a great way to use up leftovers from other projects, as it doesn't take much fabric in the short version. The last one took me about a day and a half from cutting out to sewing on the buttons - the instructions are a bit on the sparse side, but there's a video tutorial on YouTube (it's in French, but with subtitles it's very helpful). Oh, and if you combine this pattern with the Tempo Jacket from the same designer, you can make a perfect replica of the Sézane Will Jacket! ;)
