Description

This jumpsuit has the fun spirit of its designer - the talented Hélène, French blogger of ‘Hélène et les jolis mômes’. Elasticated at the back to accentuate the feminine curves, it can also be pulled in at the front.  Two sets of three pleats demark the top of the trousers and follow down to the start of each extra wide legs. The jumpsuit features an invisible zip.  It can be made without sleeves, with short sleeves or with a flat or gathered cap sleeve.

    Atelier Scammit Jolie Môme jumpsuit

Posted by Julie on 16th May 2026

I love Atelier Scammit patterns and this one was no exception. Have had my eye on the pattern for years and decided to make one with the little flutter sleeve option from a ditsy viscose lawn I’ve had for ages for a wedding. Atelier Scammit pattern instructions are very sparse - they’re designed to be used in conjunction with a video sew along. I found this very easy to make once I’d figured out that each leg was only made from one piece of fabric, like a sleeve. I also found it a bit confusing that part of the leg on the pattern was printed in a different place and it wasn’t 100% clear you had to join them together. I thought one was a shorter option. Once I’d worked it out though it was great, especially as it only uses about 2m of fabric but looks very generous. I’m 5ft9 and very long in the body but adding 1cm to the top part and 1.5cm to the top of the trousers was fine and gave me plenty of room to move. However, there’s meant to be a 10cm deep hem and even with a 1.5cm one it’s still on the short side, even though my legs aren’t massively long.
I’d definitely cut it longer next time. Over all a really straightforward pattern with very few pieces and a great result. Be warned though, without a concealed zipper foot I’m not sure how good a finish you would get.
