Linen, the timeless classic. 

This fabulous mix has the look and feel of Linen, but the addition of cotton means it hangs better and crumples less, making it perfect for trousers, dresses, long skirts and casual suits

137cm wide 55% linen 45% cotton

We now sell all our dressmaking fabric in HALF METRE increments. The price is per HALF METRE. Enter 2 in the quantity box to buy 1 metre etc. All orders will be cut in a continuous piece.

We try our best to give an accurate representation of our fabrics, however due to varying monitor settings the colours may differ slightly to the original fabric. If you want to be sure about the colour, weight or size of a design please order a sample.

    I sewed a half circle skirt with the fabric. I found it a joy to sew with. The quality of the cloth and dye were wonderful, the fabric pressed well with minimal fraying and draped beautifully. The crumple was much less than pure linen - on a skirt no hard crease lines when you sit down. I’m back to buy more of this fabric for a 50s swing coat and another skirt. I was so impressed by the quality I want it in every colour.

    Beautiful colour and the finished dress is lovely but this was a beast to work with. It stretched on the curve and bias unlike a pure linen or cotton. Seams would not press flat and popped up at every turn. I ended up hand stitching any curve on neck and sleeve before machine stitching over which made my project laborious. As I say the end was good .. the process was far from enjoyable. Oh .. it still crushes like linen lol
