Description

This dress fabric is a medium weight blue denim (8oz) with a soft touch(washed). 

This denim fabric is great for dresses, jeans, skirts, jackets and bags.

This dress making fabric is 100% cotton and is 145cm wide.

We now sell all our dressmaking fabric in HALF METRE increments. The price is per HALF METRE. Enter 2 in the quantity box to buy 1 metre etc. All orders will be cut in a continuous piece.

We try our best to give an accurate representation of our fabrics, however due to varying monitor settings the colours may differ slightly to the original fabric. If you want to be sure about the colour, weight or size of a design please order a sample.

    Great quality denim, I've made a pair of Dawn jeans and it sewed up beautifully.

    Denim dressmaking

    Good quality fabric, washes well. A slightly larger machine needle required for machine stitching, but very nice fabric to handle.

    Balloon trousers

    .Used a simple Style Arc pattern to make my third pair of ankle length balloon trouses. very comfortable. The others were made in a heavyish cord from FG and also a length of liberty print lightweight needlecord I've had for years and not used. All with excellent results!

    I absolutely love this! I’ve been searching for several years for this exact color, weight and feel of this fabric. I’m planning to sew this in a wrap skirt I made over 40 years ago! I’m so glad I checked out your site!!

    Denim medium fabric

    The service from initial on line order to receiving the product was excellent. It washed very well and ironed easily. Just about to start cutting and sewing but judging by the quality and feel of the fabric I do not envisage any problems.
    A lovely medium weight fabric that I have brought to make a skirt with.

    I love this denim( in all it's colours). It is reliable and easy to work with for all the denim skirts I've made; most recently a Ginger.

    I was influenced by Wendy's helpful review and totally agree with her. First ever denim makes for me and I'm really pleased with my two skirts - Ginger and Hollyburn. I pre-washed at 40 degrees with a white cloth and no sign of colour bleeding. Used denim needle.

    Delightful denim

    I love this fabric ( and it's indigo sister which I have previously purchased). It is proper denim but has a soft enough handle to allow some drape. I have made 4 different skirts ( ginger, simplicity 2451, Sewaholic crescent and hollyburn) plus a vintage 70s shirt dress. This is my go- to denim when no stretch is needed. Do use a denim needle though.
