A wonderful ex-designer deadstock Japanese style selvedge denim fabric with a slight amount of stretch for added comfort.
This denim dressmaking fabric is woven on vintage 80cm looms (so is only 80cm wide!) and has a red and white selvedge that can be used for a decorative accent.
Traditionally the selvedge is used for the outside seams of jeans so that it shows in the turn ups. But why not be inventive and creative with how you show your selvedge denim off? Due to the width of this denim, ensure you buy the correct amount for your project.
This Selvedge denim is medium to heavy weight. It is structured and has a crisp hand feel. It would be suitable for shorts, jeans, skirts and jackets.
