Elmo is perhaps this season's trendiest accessory. A padded scarf with an opening, designed for lightweight warmth and comfort on the coldest days. What's more, it's a quick and easy sewing project, so it's perfect for making multiple versions to keep out the cold in a smart and stylish way!
Fabric advice:
This contemporary scarf, with an opening that allows one end to be elegantly threaded
through the other, looks best in quilted fabric. The design calls for a material with some
body so it holds its shape and the opening remains well defined. Prefer a softer, more casual
version? A wool blend or bouclé with light interfacing can also work beautifully, as long as
the fabric is sturdy enough to keep the opening in shape.
