The Bowery Top is a versatile wardrobe staple that offers a polished look with the comfort and ease of a t-shirt. The Bowery’s simple, modern design is elevated by details such as back button closure, cuffed dolman sleeves and a curved hemline. This pattern makes for a fun beginner project, as well as a perfect canvas for beautiful fabric, interesting buttons, and color-blocking opportunities! Specifically designed to be worn with your favourite high-waisted pants or shorts, The Bowery Top is cropped to sit at around 2” below the waist, but can easily be lengthened should “cropped” not be your style.
EXPERIENCE LEVEL: Beginner
RECOMMENDED FABRICS: light to medium weight woven fabrics with or without drape. Linen, chambray, cotton shirting and the like will produce a more structured garment while drapier fabrics like viscose/rayon blends will also work well but make for a softer silhouette.
Fabric requirements:
150 cm (60") wide fabric: Sizes A-D, 105 cm (1.1 yd) // Sizes E-G, 114 cm (1.3 yd).
115 cm (45") wide fabric: Sizes A-D, 117 cm (1.3 yd) // Sizes E-G, 130 cm (1.4 yd).
