The Laken Jacket has a modern, boxy fit with dropped sleeves and a zipper fastening. The pattern includes a spacious, three-piece drawstring hood and two pocket options. View A features large patch pockets with flaps and snap-fastener closures, along with an integrated hand warmer. View B has a two-piece front that neatly conceals the interior construction of its angled welt pockets. The jacket is unlined but impeccably finished, creating a casual yet refined piece that will be an invaluable addition to any wardrobe.
RECOMMENDED FABRICS:
Main jacket (For style A & B): Medium to heavyweight woven fabrics such as corduroy, linen, denim, cotton twill, wool, wool blends etc.
Lining (For style A): Lightweight woven fabrics such as cotton or lightweight linen (perfect use for remnants from previous projects). If you want an extra cosy hand warmer
pocket insert, then you can use two squares (pattern piece 16) of a warmer fabric, such as wool or sherpa fabrics.
Lining (For style B): Lightweight woven fabrics such as cotton or lightweight linen
For the bias binding (if making): Lightweight woven cotton fabrics
