The Xanelé Longs Pattern Expansion was borne out of my Xanelé Shorts having become such a wardrobe staple during the warm seasons, that French Navy Patterns designer Sarah just couldn't face the approaching cooler months without having the option of the comfort and versatility that the shorts had afforded her. After having received many emails and messages from other sewists expressing the same sentiments, Sarah decided to bring the Longs to life.
The resulting pattern expansion offers both a slightly cropped, straight leg option as well as a tapered, full length trouser. Just like the Xanele Shorts these elastic-waisted pants offer a beginner-friendly project resulting in an easy-to-wear pair of pants that can be styled up or down depending on your mood.
INCLUDES A DETAILED INSTRUCTION BOOKLET with step-by-step illustrated sewing instructions complete with a link to a YouTube video tutorial.
EXPERIENCE LEVEL: Beginner
RECOMMENDED FABRICS
Light to medium weight wovens such as linen or linen blends, hemp, tencel, wool and chambray. If selecting medium weight fabric it is recommended that the fabric has some measure of drape.
FABRIC REQUIREMENTS
150 cm / 60” wide fabric - 2 metres / 2.2 yards (STYLE A and STYLE B)
115cm / 45” wide fabric - 2.5 metres / 2.7 yards (STYLE A and STYLE B)

- - 5cm / 2” wide elastic - minimum length approx. 65cm (25 5/8”), maximum length approx. 115cm (45 1/4”) - length will be determined when fitting on your shorts
