Description

The Lune dress is your dream maxi dress pattern, flaunting your waist while embracing your curves. She is the favorite choice of many customers looking for wedding dress sewing patterns – and also great for wedding guests, bridesmaids, or for a red carpet event.

This sewing pattern offers several versions: maxi dress, short dress (above knee), back V-neckline (compatible with a bra) or a more covering back bodice for Winter. This new version includes a bust adjustment option for all cup sizes from A to G.

Available sizes:

XS to XL

  • Format: layered A0, A4 and US letter PDF (one layer per size).
  • Pattern pieces do not overlap.
  • The dress is fully lined.
  • A 5/8” (1.5cm) seam allowance is included.
  • A fully illustrated, 24 pages booklet is provided with the pattern, with highly detailed illustrations.
  • This pattern and its instructions are in English.

Fabric choice:

Woven fabric with a good drape: crepe, satin, twill… in silk, cupro, tencel, viscose, polyester… Lining needs to be a very lightweight woven fabric with a similar drape to your main fabric (e.g. avoid using cotton poplin to line viscose crepe). If you choose it as a wedding dress sewing pattern, you may want to add a third layer of sheer fabric (silk organza for example): treat it the same way as you main fabric and order the same quantity.

Notions:

A 40cm invisible zipper, matching thread for your fabric, scissors, pins, a marking pen, a machine needle that fits your fabric type. You will also need some strips of silk organza to stabilize seams that are on the bias, to prevent any stretching (alternatively you can buy iron-on stabilizing tape, or even use strips of interfacing cut in the straight of grain).

Sewing Level:

Intermediate (3/5): this dress will be fairly easy to make for anyone who made a few garments already. Bust adjustments are made easy with the included option to print the bodice front piece in your chosen cup size (from A to G). Height adjustments are possible on the skirt but will be difficult on the bodice: because of its design, it is not possible to place a lengthening/shortening line for easy adjustments.
