Party season is here! We wanted to create something fantastic and unique that you just can’t get anywhere else, to help you make something to wear to Christmas events, NYE parties, and every celebration in between.

All about Ciment Pleating
This month’s box was created in collaboration with Ciment Pleating. We worked closely with them to create a beautiful, fully pleated circle skirt fabric that is just stunning.
Ciment Pleating has been established since 1925, making it the oldest pleating firm in the UK. They have built up a reputation with their customers as the number 1 pleaters in the country.
Over the years, they have created pleats for a range of unusual and exciting projects. Past commissions include pleating for Princess Diana, Queen Elizabeth, Torvill and Dean, Lady Gaga, Kylie Minogue, the Harry Potter films and now the Fabric Godmother Dream Wardrobe box.

About the fabric:
This month, we not only sourced a uniquely printed fabric but also had it treated. We have a gorgeous Astrid Satin - Navy fabric with its lovely festive star design. You will receive two sunray pleated semi-circles to create your circle skirt.
We worked with Ciment Pleating and used their extensive knowledge and advice to select the right base cloth for this project. They recommended a man-made fabric, as it is best for holding pleats and maintaining its shape long term.
Pre-wash your fabric at 30 °C. The pleats will not wash out. Dry flat, reshape whilst damp.
We recommend you DO NOT IRON this fabric, as the pleats can be removed with heat. If you do press, use a COOL IRON ONLY and do not steam. You can fold and press the pleats back in if any are lost or distorted. Please make sure to NOT tumble dry.

As another exciting first for a dream wardrobe, we have created this pattern and instructions exclusively for the Dream Wardrobe. It is designed to work perfectly with the sunray pleated panels, and the instructions have great info about working with pleated fabric. It is size-inclusive and helps you use your measurements to find the perfect fit.
