Inspired by seafaring knots and bow waves, our Bowline Sweater offers structure and casual wear rolled into one. The unique pleated front is a show-stopper and would suit print or plain fabric alike. This fun sweater comes with a raglan sleeve, self-waistband and wide cuffs.

Light - medium weight knit fabric.

    Interesting make

Made this today. Like the fact they are really into recyclables. Paper pattern was like the weight of Brown parcel paper, really easy to use but not see through which would be helpful when fabric pattern matching. Used a lightweight, very moveable striped jersey, won't do that again! Gave up trying to match stripes, managed the front where really in view and didn't sweat the rest, life is too short. I'm not entirely happy with my neckband, it's a little slack, I'll have too ponder on that one, I have heard about running shearing elastic through the band, my give it ago. I did a medium but have taken the sides in at the waist because it looked a tad too baggy, that seems to have sorted it. The sleeves are long which is ok for me but for more petite folk will be long. The fold/roll at the neck takes a minute or two to get your head round but if you have made a yoked shirt you will follow a similar course. All in all it was an interesting make, quite quick to bring together and a change from the usual t-shirt. I'll have another bash at it, no slippy, slidey, misbehaving stripes next time!!
