FREE UK DELIVERY for orders over £65
Fabric Godmother aims to pack and dispatch your order within 1-2 working days of it being placed, providing payment has gone through. Although it may take longer during busier times, such as during or just after promotions.
You will receive a confirmation email when you order is placed and when your order is dispatched. Please check your junk/trash folders if you’re unable to see ‘order confirmation’ or ‘order dispatched’ emails in your inbox.
If for any reason, there is likely to be a delay in dispatching your order, such as stock availability, Fabric Godmother will notify you by e-mail.

Delivery within the UK
Royal Mail Tracked 48
Charge: £3.50
Service and time scale: UK orders are sent via Royal Mail tracked 48 with an average delivery time of 1-3 days, although it may take longer due to Royal Mail industrial action.
DHL express courier delivery:
Charge: £12.00
Service and time scale DHL express: For orders placed before 1pm we dispatch sameday and in most instances your order will be delivered the following day although this is not guaranteed.
Leaving Parcels in a Safe Place
If you choose to instruct the mail carrier to leave your parcel in a safe place such as a shed or porch please note that this is at you own risk as we cannot claim for items that go missing that are not securely delivered.
USA delivery:
We are now using a landed costs pre-payment checkout for all orders to the US as follows:
- US delivery costs are calculated on the weight of your order.
- Customs charges, duties etc, known as landed costs are calculated and collected at checkout.
- There are no duties for the customer to pay at the border and your order will pass staight through customs for delivery to you.

International delivery rates and information.
All international orders are sent tracked via DHL or Royal Mail.
Please note: All international orders require a working phone number and valid email address to be entered when the order is placed. This is so the courier/postal companies can send you tracking numbers and can contact you to ensure a speedy and accurate delivery. We will have to email you to obtain a phone number if one isn’t entered when the order is placed.
If your delivery address is a non-residential European address, please enter an EORI number in customer notes when placing your order. Without this there may be considerable delays.
International delivery:
We send your orders via DHL or Royal Mail tracked.
International delivery rates can vary – especially for very large orders. We’ll notify you of any changes in the delivery cost before the order is dispatched, and there is then the opportunity to cancel the order should you wish to.
There may also be additional import duties or customs charges levied in your country – these can sometimes affect delivery times and overall costs. Please check with your local authority for up to date information regarding import taxes and duties.
Please note: We may sometimes send your order in more than once parcel to reduce the cost of postage.
A Note to Our Customers in the European Union:
We are very sorry, but we are currently unable to ship orders to countries within the European Union.
Following the introduction of new legislation this year, the costs and administrative requirements involved in shipping to EU countries have increased substantially. As a small independent business, we are unfortunately unable to absorb these additional costs at present.
We know many of our wonderful customers are based within the EU, and this has not been an easy decision. We are actively looking into alternative solutions and hope to be able to resume shipping to EU countries in the future.
That said, if you're a fan of Fabric Godmother fabrics and would like to continue sewing with our collections, please speak to your local fabric shop and ask them to get in touch with us regarding our wholesale terms. We work with stockists around the world and would love to help more EU-based shops bring Fabric Godmother fabrics to their customers.
Please note that we are still able to ship to many European countries outside of the European Union.

RETURNS
Goods ordered
If, for any reason, you are not completely satisfied with your purchase from Fabric Godmother and would like a full refund, items can be returned within 7 working days. The items must be in their original condition – including packaging – and the refund excludes posting costs. (Please note: special order fabrics are not included in this refund policy)
Please note: Digital products such as PDF pattern files are non-refundable.
Please contact us before you return the order.
Fabric Godmother cannot accept liability for returns lost in the post, so we strongly recommend that you obtain a Certificate of Posting or use Recorded Delivery.
Once we have recieved your returned item(s) we will aim to process the return within 7 working days.
We are confident that all items from Fabric Godmother will reach our customers in perfect condition. If an item does arrive faulty or damaged, please contact us by email within 2 working days of receiving and we can arrange for a replacement or a refund. Please note that once a fabric has been cut or washed we cannot accept returns.
