DELIVERY  

Fabric Godmother aims to pack and dispatch your order within a 1-2 working days of it being placed, providing payment has gone through. Although it may take longer during busier times, such as during or just after promotions.

You will receive a confirmation email when you order is placed and when your order is dispatched. Please check your junk/trash folders if you’re unable to see ‘order confirmation’ or ‘order dispatched’ emails in your inbox.

If for any reason, there is likely to be a delay in dispatching your order, such as stock availability, Fabric Godmother will notify you by e-mail.

With the most recent Covid-19 lockdown some of our staff are only working part time due to childcare responsibilities and some of our staff are working from home, this means there may be a slight delay with sending your order out or responding to your enquiries.

Delivery Charges 

Delivery charges are added automatically as you go through the checkout 

Delivery within the UK

Standard First Class Delivery

Charge: £2.50

Service and time scale: UK orders are sent via Royal Mail 24 with an average delivery time of 1-3 days although it may take longer due to the logistical issues caused by Covid.

Leaving Parcels in a Safe Place

If you choose to instruct the mail carrier to leave your parcel in a safe place such as a shed or porch please note that this is at you own risk as we cannot claim for items that go missing that are not securely delivered.

International delivery rates and information.

All international orders are sent via Royal Mail Business tracked or DHL courier tracked.

Please note: All international orders require a working phone number and valid email address to be entered when the order is placed. This is so the courier/postal companies can send you tracking numbers and can contact you to ensure a speedy and accurate delivery. We will have to email you to obtain a phone number if one isn’t entered when the order is placed.

Sadly, we have had to raise the International shipping charges due to a huge increase from all providers as a result of Covid-19 and Brexit that we cannot fully absorb.

If your delivery address is a non-residential European address, please enter an EORI number in customer notes when placing your order. Without this there may be considerable delays.

International delivery rates can vary – especially for very large orders. We’ll notify you of any changes in the delivery cost before the order is dispatched, and there is then the opportunity to cancel the order should you wish to.  

There may also be additional import duties or customs charges levied in your country – these can sometimes affect delivery times and overall costs. Please check with your local authority for up to date information regarding import taxes and duties.

Please note: We may sometimes send your order in more than once parcel to reduce the cost of postage.

Other European Union countries (outside EU)

Charge: £25 per delivery address

Time: 4-8 working days

USA: £24 per delivery address

Australia, Canada & Mexico: £30 per delivery address

New Zealand and Singapore: £35 per delivery address

Destinations not listed above outside of Europe: £35 per delivery address

RETURNS 

Goods ordered

If, for any reason, you are not completely satisfied with your purchase from Fabric Godmother and would like a full refund, items can be returned within 7 working days. The items must be in their original condition – including packaging – and the refund excludes posting costs. (Please note special order fabrics are not included in this refund policy)

Please note: Digital products such as PDF pattern files are non-refundable.

Please contact us before you return the order.  

Fabric Godmother cannot accept liability for returns lost in the post, so we strongly recommend that you obtain a Certificate of Posting or use Recorded Delivery. 

We are confident that all items from Fabric Godmother will reach our customers in perfect condition. If an item does arrive faulty or damaged, please contact us by email within 2 working days of receiving and we can arrange for a replacement or a refund. Please note that once a fabric has been cut or washed we cannot accept returns.
