***A note from Kristiann Boos from Victory patterns***
This pattern is named after my dear friend, Nicola Loffler. She was without a doubt the kindest, happiest, most good hearted and inspiring person I’ve ever known. She is no longer with us, but in her beautiful life, she once made an epic bucket list with admirable and adventurous goals, One of which was to inspire someone to make the world a better place, and another more humble goal was to learn how to sew. She has accomplished her first dream a hundred times over, and her friends around the world continue to help her to cross the remaining items off her list. As for the second goal, she never had the chance to learn to sew, so as a little tribute to that goal, this pattern is for her.
As for the first goal, in her name, $1 from each Nicola pattern sold will be donated to one of her favorite charities, “Peace One Day”. This organization believes that small actions can have a huge impact. They are working towards creating a global truce for one day; a day of cease-fire and non-violence. This day not only prevents violence and death in the most obvious ways, but also allows for safe for humanitarian aid in otherwise dangerous areas and has helped save millions of lives. This day shows us what a peaceful world could be like and the hope is that this will inspire and effect a greater, more permanent change!
