A gorgeous chenille dressmaking fabric which is super soft to the touch and has an incredible ruched jacquard effect.
This incredible dress fabric is lightweight, airy and has a wonderful drape and would be perfect for making floaty skirts, blouses and dresses. Or how about making a cute midi skirt co ord with a floaty shirt in this fabric.
The chenille yarn is manufactured by placing short lengths of yarn, called the "pile", between two "core yarns" and then twisting the yarn together. The edges of these piles then stand at right angles to the yarn's core, giving chenille both its softness and its characteristic look.
Eladia Chenille Jacquard - Burgundy is 62% Viscose, 24% Poly and 14% Nylon. The width is 142cm and 120gsm. This fabric has 40% stretch along the width.
