ABOUT THE DRESS & BLOUSE:

Inspired by a vintage Ossie Clarke treasure discovered in Paris, the Lisi Dress & Blouse pattern is pure playful romance. Light, floaty, and just a little bit frivolous, Lisi is designed to swish, flutter, and charm from every angle.

A softly gathered frill collar frames the neckline and is held perfectly in place with cleverly concealed elastic for an easy, comfortable fit.

At the waist, a fluted peplum adds movement and shape, while the long dress option finishes with a gathered hem flounce – both beautifully finished with a delicate pin hem for an extra touch of finesse.

Raglan sleeves keep the silhouette relaxed and feminine, with two length options: full-length or above-the-elbow. Each is finished with an elasticated cuff for an effortless, blousy feel. The waist sits just under the bust and is cinched with pretty drawstring ties, letting you adjust the shape to suit your style

SEWING LEVEL:

The Lisi Dres & Blouse is suited to an intermediate dressmaker who feels confident with lighter fabric and more detailed techniques.

You’ll be working with:

  • Gathering for the neck frill and hem flounce
  • A delicate pin hem finish on the peplum and skirt hem
  • Narrow flat binding drawstring ties at the neck and waist

None of the steps are overly complex, but they do require a little patience and neat finishing for the best result.

RECOMMENDED FABRICS:

This pattern has been drafted for light to medium weight woven fabrics: viscose, cotton lawn, cotton poplin, silk. Something with drape and not too much structure, that will gather nicely into the neck frill.

HOW THE DRESS & BLOUSE FITS:

The Lisi Dress & Blouse has a relaxed, loose fit. A drawstring at the waist lets you pull the shape in to create soft gathering through the bodice and skirt, so you can wear it as loose or as fitted as you like.

The blouse version finishes at the hip with the peplum. The long dress falls to a midi–maxi length, while View B is slightly shorter and finishes around the knee.
