I Am Patterns Gaston Jacket & Cardigan (Beginner)

Gaston is a jersey jacket with 6 versions, both classic and casual. I can be sewn with a shirt collar or with a simple round neckline. You can choose to make Gaston with large patch pockets, welt pockets or without pockets altogether. Gaston fastens with 5 press-studs. It has a facing on the inside for a clean finish and have long, fitted sleeves that are finished with a single folded hem.

The pattern is enclosed in an envelope. It contains the sewing pattern along with a step-by-step illustrated explanation guide.

The different pieces overlap with each other so you will need to trace the pattern on paper.

Interfacing for the welt pocket: 8″x16″ (20 cm x 40 cm)

Optional: 5 yards (4.5 m) of 3/8″ (1 cm) bias binding to finish the welt pockets, the assembled facing and the bottom of the garment.
