This 100% Ramie dressmaking fabric is lightweight and soft with a fluid drape and a beautiful depth of colour. It is semi-opaque and would be perfect for soft blouses, breezy kaftans, summer pajamas.

Ramie is a fabric made from plant fibre. It is made from a plant in the nettle family making it a sustainable dressmaking fabric. There are slubs in the fibre which gives this dressmaking fabric a similar appearance to Linen. The advantages of Ramie is that is an eco-friendly fabric, it has a natural resistance to stains and shrinking. Ramie is comfortable and breathable to wear and holds its shape well.
Machine wash this dressmaking fabric at 30 degrees on a gentle wash and line dry.
