Flares are a big trend this season and have been seen everywhere on the catwalk in New York, London, Milan and Paris fashion weeks. We chose to produce a wide leg flare (rather than a fitted fluted leg) as this style is easy to make and wear.

This pattern is best made with a light or medium weight fabric with a nice drape quality to it as seen in the images below. A little stretch in the fabric will add extra comfort and enable you to make hip and waist area more fitting to your shape if needed.

Variations

Pattern is marked to change length (fold away pattern through knee). Check which length you will want before cutting.

You will also need based on size22:

  • Fabric 270cm x 140cm width.

  • Concealed zip 24cm all sizes. (22cm finished length)

  • Fusing 30cm x 90cm width.

Difficulty - Easy.

File Info

This PDF is made up of both A4 and A0 files, and instruction booklet.

The A4 file is made up of 30 pages. When printing select "Actual Size" in Print setup. A 10cm x 10cm square is included within the file (page1). Measure this to check the file is printing to accurate measurements

All pages are numbered and have a "map" to show the full plan of the file, on page 24.

All pages have an overlap of approximately 1.5cm, 1/2", and a dashed line boarder. This will enable you to accurately match each page.

THE A4 VERSION CAN BE PRINTED ON US LETTER. Do not change the scale, and where possible print centrally on the paper selecting boarder less printing. The overlap will be smaller but the overlap lines will appear in the page.
