Viscose is a fibre that is derived from wood pulp, making it a natural fabric that is more breathable than cotton. It is also known as Rayon.

Machine washable at 30 degrees, cool iron, gentle tumble dry or hang out to dry straight after washing, please note when you wash viscose it can become stiff when wet but the softness and drape will return as it dries.

We now sell all our dressmaking fabric in HALF METRE increments. The price is per HALF METRE. Enter 2 in the quantity box to buy 1 metre etc. All orders will be cut in a continuous piece.

Fabulous fabric, I have lusted after for a while and it sews up beautifully! Material arrived a few days ago, I am making a Lyra shirt hack based on Tilly and the Buttons Lyra dress. Material cut out so well, no slipping about. Really looking forward to wearing the end product, hopefully in a couple of days! Fantastic colours. Matching thread also a wonderful colour, it really does match well.

    Fabric for a skirt

Posted by Mathilde on 24th Aug 2022

I bought this fabric initially to make a long skirt but I will finally use to make a shirt. It is a bright and beautiful viscose. It is also very soft on the skin. I am very happy about it.

This was a beautiful soft flowing fabric that I made a tiered dress with.

    Great colours

Bought without a sample first so found it was a heavier fabric than I’d hoped. It has washed well in readiness for sewing. Plan to make a blouse but think it will be more suitable for last summer.
